Creative Catalyst Insights (CCI) is a customer & brand experience insights consultancy founded in 1997 in Sydney by Barb Jones.

Barb is the founder of CCI and chief Insights Wizard and Master Synthesizer.

Barb has been listening to stories and viewing behaviour for years – hearing both the spoken and unspoken words, seeing the visible & hidden visual cues. She is fascinated by the art & science of communication and meaning, all within a context.

Barb’s approach is pragmatic and professional, founded on sound behavioural and decision frameworks.

She has worked in the advertising, planning and research industry for the past 20 years in South Africa, SE Asia and Australia. With previous consulting experience at Ogilvy & Mather, Lintas, Impact Information & Millward Brown, she started Creative Catalyst Insights (CCI) in 1997. As a pioneer in Australia in online qualitative methods in the 2000’s, she launched QUALinsights, a specialist online qualitative research mentoring bureau in 2008 and Grace in the Space, Insights coaching & mentoring in 2014.

Barb also lectures as a casual academic at UTS (since the mid 90’s) in post-graduate marketing & communication subjects. She is a frequent conference presenter, latterly on online qualitative techniques.

When not consulting or lecturing, Barbara is found sailing on Sydney Harbour.

Barb is a full member of AMSRS, a Qualified Practitioner of Market Research (QPMR), and is a member of the IRG, Independent Researchers Group (former chair person). She holds an MBA (Marketing); a B. Comm (Marketing; Economics; Accounting); a Diploma in Marketing Management and is an NLP Master.
